Application process

We have a four-step application process to ensure we hire the right people to join our team.

  • Complete a simple online registration and application form. This should take roughly 10 minutes to complete.
  • If you are selected for the next stage of the process, you will be sent online assessment covering motivational questions to explore what drives you and how that fits with this role, behavioural questions to understand how you approach and respond to different situations and cognitive tasks to assess your critical reasoning and problem-solving skills. The link to these tasks will include full instructions, and you will be given five days to complete.
  • If you are successful, we will invite you to complete the next stage of the selection process: the Job Simulation assessment which looks to test real life scenarios you would experience should be successful in joining M&G.

(For selected roles, you may be invited to a short telephone interview to review your fit for the pathway ahead of the assessment centre.)

  • The final step is to attend our assessment centre, where you’ll take part in a range of activities like presentations, interviews and group exercises. You’ll also meet a variety of people who work for M&G, including current graduates, to gain a further understanding of our culture.

Applications for our graduate schemes and internships open in late 2025. You can start applying for apprenticeships from February 2026. Applications are assessed from the moment they are submitted.

We recommend you start the process as soon as you can and don’t wait until the deadline.

It should take about 10 minutes to register online and complete the application form. After completing the graduate/intern form, you will be sent a link to complete motivational, behavioural and cognitive tasks.

These should take around 45 minutes to complete. You don’t need to complete all the tests in one sitting, but they must be done within the required deadlines.

When applying for the apprenticeship, you can only submit one application form, but within this you can state your preference for up to 3 apprentice roles.

When applying for an internship or graduate scheme, you can only apply for one scheme at a time.

Yes, you can re-apply next year if you are unsuccessful this year.

Please contact [email protected] regarding graduate scheme and internship applications. For apprenticeships, please contact us at [email protected].

You can expect updates on your application status through your candidate homepage and email to the address you supply in your application. We want you to have an engaging experience throughout the recruitment process, and we aim to provide you with the outcome of each stage as quickly as we can.

Apprenticeships, Internships and graduates

Application and testing:Application and testing: Once you’ve completed the initial questionnaire, you will receive a notification shortly after submission advising you of the outcome and next steps. We’ll send you confirmation emails within a few days of the application and testing stages. After the online testing stage, we’ll give you a feedback report about your strengths and areas for development.

Interviews and assessment days: We aim to give you two weeks’ notice ahead of the assessment Center stages, although sometimes we might ask you to come in with one weeks’ notice. We aim to be flexible and will try to work around your availability if you have exams.
